3+ Years of Traveling

So, we work on a cruise ship. That means we are constantly on the move. I used to think it would be glamorous to travel a lot. Think of a more elaborate “The Grand Budapest Hotel” minus the stolen painting part. Well, that’s certainly not how it is. But it is a damn fun way to live our lives.

The World Where I've Been

We’ve been so many places in the last 3 years, I’m having a hard time keeping up with it on the blog. Every day the door has been opening on new destinations and I’m too busy just enjoying the hell out of every minute we have. It’s been a great challenge keeping motivated to get out there, to do and see more. I know you’re thinking I must be crazy and you’d kill for my life. I say, we’re very lucky. But as they say, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.

Easy to see why Scottish Rockers look so pensive overlooking the cliffs.

I’ve done the math on our experiences and no amount of money could buy the things we’ve done. The best part is we can actually share our musical talents and love for living with all the people we come in contact with. We get to help spread joy and relaxation.

We’re young enough to enjoy very athletic activities and we do so. We’ve been biking in exotic destinations like Cozumel and Ensenada Mexico, Grand Turk, Dominica and more. We’ve zip lined over water falls in Costa Rica, climbed mountains in Alaska and Norway. Checked out ancient civilizations in Florence, Orkney and Edinburgh. Walked up to glaciers, weathered thunderstorms on the beach in Fiji, the floods of the freeways of Detroit and crashed a rental car in Tahiti.

I’ve spent 6 hours today going through photos from our travels as far back as March 2014 when we joined the Ruby Princess for a 5 month contract. I’m having a hard time narrowing them down to just a few. Guess I’ll just put up a bunch and you can tell me which ones you’d like to know more about.
