Top Ten Beaches from 2011

After spending almost 7 months working on a cruise ship this year covering the majority of Central and North America, I am feeling quite a bit like an expert at beaches. Ever since I was a young girl growing up in Northern Michigan on Lake Huron, I’ve been a water baby. When I was younger, I used to race sail boats on Lake Saint Clair in Detroit. So I knew when I took the ship gig that I already had my “sea legs”. I can’t get enough of it. If I’m not in water, on it, or near it, I’m pretty much thinking about it. I thought that it would be fun to look back on all the beaches that I have been to this year and list out the top 10.

Several of the beaches I have already written in earlier blog posts vingettes about our adventures there. I’ve conveniently linked the beach to the appropriate article. Enjoy!
